Books that are not available within our library collection can be obtained through the interlibrary loans service from a network of other NHS libraries and national collections.

Please note, you must be a member of East and North Hertfordshire Knowledge and Library Services to use this service. If you are not currently a member, you will be contacted and asked to join. Most items will be sent to you free of charge. However, if we have to order an item from the British Library, there may be a charge.
You can place a hold to reserve a book via ELMS with the User ID and PIN printed on your library card. Provide as much information as possible e.g., author, title, ISBN, publication date, edition.

Login to KnowledgeShare using your OpenAthens username and password to log your search request. Click on 'Evidence' at the top menu then click 'Request an evidence search'

Please note - if you are a full-time student, we cannot search for you as your university will expect you to be able to demonstrate that you can search effectively for yourself. We can, however, provide you with some training on how to search evidence resources.
Membership of KnowledgeShare is restricted to NHS Staff and students eligible for an NHS OpenAthens account. If you do not have an account, you can self-register for NHS OpenAthens.
